During an event which took place on Friday 25th February 2022, S&G Response highlighted a strong investment into their number 1 asset: their people and culture.
As a business who prides itself on its culture, the ongoing theme for S&G Response throughout their AGM review last week was their continued and absolute commitment to their people.
To kick-start, S&G Response previewed a video of their CSR, charity and social events. These included taking part in the Goggins Challenge, working with the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust and contributions made to the Trussell Trust foodbanks.
Andy Whatmough then took to speak, giving an overview of the current position of the business, new business wins over the past 12 months and their positive position against other competitors in the market. Whatmough also highlighted the macro and environmental impacts which S&G have faced..
S&G Chairman, Charles Layfied, then lead a discussion about their plans for their people over the coming 18 months, focussing on the importance of culture and measuring the different metrics to keep everyone accountable throughout the organisation.
Nick Stone, S&G Operations Director, also spoke around something similar, commenting that happy employees mean engaged employees, engaged employees means good customer service and good customer service means success.
The event then concluded with their Value’s Awards – a chance to publicly recognise the people behind the business who have gone above and beyond to demonstrate and embody the businesses values. Categories included innovative simplicity, accountability, teamwork, integrity and commitment, as well as their leadership, service and Value Champion recognitions.
With over 100 nominees across their awards, this was a tremendous end to a positive event.
Great things are expected of S&G Response over the coming 18 months.
