Who you are?
I’m Jake Wright, CEO of Lusso and in a previous life raced bikes professionally. Nowadays I’m steering the Lusso ship and having a great time doing it.
Please can you tell us a little about Lusso?
Lusso has been manufacturing cycling clothing in Radcliffe, greater Manchester since 1982. We are a small independent company looking to ruffle a few feathers. We are passionate cyclists and all our products undergo thorough testing by our team in the hard terrain the North has to offer before we bring them to market. We produce clothing for all abilities. Whether you are a newcomer to the sport or an elite level rider, we have ranges specifically created for each demand. We also create custom clothing for events such as this, or clubs and teams.
What made you decide to help support our cycle challenge?
Being passionate cyclists ourselves and me personally doing a number of charity rides, I understand how important it is to support the people willing to put themselves through the pain for a great cause. We decided to create something unique for this event. Sticking with the S&G colours, we have gone with a white, black and gold combination to help the riders stand out and be identified.
How challenging do you think this event will be for the cyclists
444km in 4 days is no easy task for any cyclist and the fatigue will definitely settle in the legs! Just keep pedalling, keep well fuelled and remember why you are doing it when times get tough. Plus a few cafe breaks for some coffee and cake won’t hurt!
